The local veterans groups will serve a spaghetti meal Saturday, beginning immediately after the Bell Tower Festival parade until 2:30 pm.
The menu features pasta and sauce donated by Barilla America of Ames, garlic bread and beverage.
The lunch will be served at the VFW post on the east side of the courthouse square. The building will be cool even if it’s hot outdoors, and dry even if it’s raining. There will also be plenty of seating – no balancing a plate or eating while navigating a crowd.
Free will donations will be accepted. Proceeds will benefit local veterans and the American Legion, VFW, and VFW auxiliary.
